This year’s theme, “Computing Change: The Intersection of Technology and Psychology,” focuses on the ubiquitous impact of technology on society and individuals, and on the synthesis of technology and empirically-supported treatment of psychological disorders. Psychologists’ research and clinical skills are essential to the healthy design and implementation of new technologies, but also to providing education and treatment to those who have been harmed in its wake. Our unique position as experts in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral processes provides an opportunity to leverage emerging technologies for the benefit of society, while bringing with it an ethical responsibility to do so with prudence, integrity, and responsibility. It is imperative that psychology be at the forefront as technology continues to evolve. Join us as we gather together to deepen our knowledge about new trends, innovations and cutting edge research.
